The sisters are on my blog this week. They were on Ana's blog last week, Annee's blog the week before, and Sarah's the week before that.
SARAH
I guess I should start to feel self conscious about how many times my update pic shows me wearing this skirt. It has definitely become a go-to.
Last week:
- ON VACATION!!! AGAIN!!! We've been in Sandpoint, ID staying in a house right on Lake Pond Oreille with the whole Wiley crew. It's been fun and relaxing and beautiful and an overall great time. Lots of hanging out around the house, playing checkers, jacuzzi, boating, exploring, and playing with cousins.
This week:
- back to work (again!)
- back to exercisin. I mean it this time!
- figure out how to transport this fantastic old cabinet of postal boxes found at an antique store in Sandpoint, ID back to Provo. I think I REALLY need it!
- schedule some downtime - we could all use it
IE LI
- Spent two days in Boston with Steve, where we went to the temple, rode bikes along the Charles River, slept in, and ate some amazing food. We loved being alone together, but we missed our kids a lot and were so excited to see them again.
- Tried running again, but something is not quite right with my foot. Wondering if I need new shoes or need to get it checked out before I start the half marathon training.
- Went to the pool, of course.
- Went to the library to get summer reading challenge cards stamped.
- Turned 28. Steve made some great food for us that day.
- Hosted the Earnests for a night.
- Pool time
- Summer school
- A date with Steve
- Start a summer schedule with the kids. I think it's exactly what we need. :)
- Exercise
ANNEE
This Week:
- On vacation all week.
- stay patient even though the whole family will be sleeping together in one hotel room.
- run two times while on vacation.
- have a great time. Enjoy the time with my family.
Next Week:
- I think all six of us are going to the dentist Wednesday morning :)
- eat at home everyday. Lots of fruits and vegetables. Vacation is rough on the diet.
- run 12 miles, next long run.
- sew a dress
RACHEL
Last Week:
- Looks like I immediately forgot about all my goals after writing the update! I didn't make the bolster pillow or spray the bedroom frames or make it to Men's Wearhouse! Too bad.
- I did exchange my phone for a new one just in the nick of time.
- Saw Cars 2 with the Earnests. It was cute!
- Got Ken's car repaired and passed safety inspection.
- Helped Ken do some major overhauls to his resume.
- Visited the Vienna Farmer's Market and made a great dinner with the produce.
- FHE at Shake Shack in DC
- I have about 12 emails that REALLY need responses. Time to do it.
- Fold laundry. Lame.
- Make the roman shade! I now have all the supplies, except the green velvet ribbon to trim it out.
- Roanoke reservations - gotta happen this time.
- Return rugs to Urban Outfitters
- Get a car wash!
CHRISTINE
(no picture yet)
Last week:- Had a great 4th of July complete with a BBQ and fireworks on the steps of the Jefferson Memorial in the company of quite a few kids from church. This years experience was much better than last years, the view was much better and surprisingly the crowd at the Jefferson was pretty thin.
- Went to institute Tuesday night, though I got there an hour late since I'm not so good at factoring in travel time on the metro. I'm slowly learning that taking the metro anywhere takes at least an hour, no matter how close it may seem. I always thought the metro was a quick, easy way to get places, I'm learning that is false.
- Finally got the AC fixed at Melissa's. I think in the end it wasn't really broken, just needed the filter changed, that was something I couldn't have figured out on my own. With the apartment finally at an enjoyable temperature I was finally able to organize Melissa's things so as to make room for my stuff, so I'm finally unpacked and no longer living out of suitcases, it's pretty fantastic.
- Worked on my class. So close to being finished!
- Secured a car for the time being until my car arrives (hopefully next week!!). Luckily I know someone who's out of town for the rest of this month and he was kind enough to agree to let me borrow his car. I finally don't feel so trapped and can actually do normal everyday things such as grocery shop.
- Toured around Morgantown. Who knew that would ever be on my list of places to visit?
- Two more days to finish my class, it'll be such a great feeling.
- Go to the congressional baseball game Thursday night with dinner at Shake Shack before. Democrats vs Republicans, the baseball really isn't anything impressive, it's really just the crowds and heckling that make it an enjoyable event.
- Hopefully my study materials will actually arrive this week so I really can start studying.
- Now that I have a car I have no excuse to not be looking at apartments, must get started on that search. This list seems quite similar to my list from last week, guess I wasn't too productive last week.
ANA
Ana is busy looking for a new home to live in, but Zack did accept a great job offer. Hooray!

Sarah, that location looks amazing. A lake vacation is not something I've ever done before. And, I love that skirt on you. It's great to have a go-to item.
Annee, have fun on the rest of your trip. Your room will be waiting for you on your way back home.
Rachel, how fun to be so close to the Vienna farmers' market and then make dinner with your uber-fresh produce. I love it. I have yet to go to the DC Shake Shack. Is the line crazy like it is in New York?
Christine, how was Morgantown?
Ana, we'll pray for you guys to find the right home. Congratulations on the new job!
Sorry ladies but its full panic attack mode over here for me. Zack has a fantastic job offer, we are super excited about it, we will have health insurance so I don't have to go on medi-cal to have this baby, but I have been super nauseous (isn't that supposed to be over by now) and super stressed because every rental we find is either literally awful or okay but not in a school district I can stomach. It will work out...and someday I won't be a big ball of stress.
Ie Li, will you ask Rachel what color her kitchen is? That is the exact color I've been looking for! A nice, soft blue, but not baby blue! The ones I keep picking are too white, or too gray. Oh the stress of picking colors!
Rachel - I was thinking the same thing - that is a really pretty color in your kithen. What is it? And what in the world were you making with all that colorful produce?
CZ - what/where is Morgantown? And what happened to Anthro - do you ever work there? How long was that institute class that you thought it was still ok to go an hour late?
Ana - I'm so excited about Zack's job. That is really amazing. Is it with that software company in SD? Congratulations.
Ie Li - I think I totally forgot to wish you a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I'm so sorry and such a flake but I was thinking of you when my phone beeped the reminder and hope you had a great day. That's so great you and Steve were able to get away. Sounds like a great trip to Boston!
Annee - your trip sounds great, but yes could be a little close-quarters sharing a hotel room and a car for that many days in a row. Hang in there and only take pictures of the good times and that's all anyone will remember.
The trip is wrapping ip a day early. We did everything we set out to do, and now home is calling to us! I think we will only remember the good parts. Life is sweet like that.
