Mei Li, Stephen, and I get to spend a lot of time with each other. We are in each others' faces all day long. Stephen copies what Mei Li does, Mei Li copies what I do, and even I act like a child at times.
Stephen is learning new words everyday. The pattern of teaching him new words goes something like this:
Me: Baby guy, the train track is broken! Can you say "broken?"
BG: Boken.
Mei Li is trying to teach me new words everyday too.
Mei Li: Mama, one time, I went to the farm. Can you say "farm?"
Me: Farm. (This is said with little to no excitement.)
Mei Li: Mama, I went pee pee on the potty. Can you say "pee pee?"
Me: Pee pee. (This one happened today, and I almost refused the request.)
Sometimes she makes up her own words and asks us to repeat them, and they can be quite difficult to repeat exactly. She makes us do it again if we don't get it right the first time.

I am laughing and remembering the morning my three year old said to me: "Today I will be the mommy and you will be the Jana." I didn't play that game very well...
You are funny Ie Li.
BTW, it was your birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY. I hope it was fun.
(It was your birthday, right?!)
That is so cute Ie Li. I think the made up words must have to do with the age Brooke does the same thing. She throws them into sentances and expects us to know what she's saying.
