I packed 3 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and various snacks in to my backpack.
I walked up and down 42nd street looking for elevator access to the subway. I thorougly enjoyed my search, which took me through the theater district. I finally found the elevator.
We got on the subway at Times square and got off at 86th street, where there was no elevator.
A nice man helped me carry my double stroller up the steps. It was not easy.
We walked to 83rd street to the Children's Museum of Manhattan.
We spent the next couple of hours at the museum.
We ate lunch on a bench on the median of the road.
Barnes and Noble was close by so we spent time reading in the children's corner. It was really relaxing and lovely.
The kids wanted to go back to the museum so we did.
I sneezed, which had unfortunate consequences.
I spent the next half hour convincing my children that it was time to go.
I asked the guard at the museum where the nearest subway station with an elevator was. He told me that I had to go all the way to 72nd street and that it was a long walk.
I walked to 72nd street. It was not a long walk. I think walking is probably the best thing to do in New York. It's just fascinating to look at the people, the restaurants, the yellow taxis, and all the policemen.
