Friday was low-key during the day. I can't remember most of it.
"There Goes a Race Car", "There Goes a Spaceship," and "There Goes a Motorcycle" provided a lot of inspiration for Mei Li and Stephen's play. Thank you, cousin Oliver for that DVD.
Mei Li was particularly inspired by the astronauts and put on her snow boots and Stephen's football helmet to look the part. She also asked me if girl astronauts wore dresses. I told her no, and she seemed to be okay with that. She'll just be the first astronaut to wear a tutu.
I wanted to be an astronaut when I was little. I loved constellations, Astro Camp, and building rockets. I don't want to be an astronaut anymore, but I'll need to check out some books on stars and planets from the library to read with the kids.
Friday night was boys' night. Steve took Stephen to the mall to ride the carousel and eat ice cream. He purchase a squishy baseball for him at the sporting goods store.
Meanwhile, Mei Li, Mi Na, and I played "My Little Pony." We combed their hair and I braided their tales. Mei Li was Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy, I was Twilight Sparkle, and Mi Na was Pinkie Pie.
When the boys came home, Stephen said that he and Dad were going to play baseball and that Mei Li and I needed to be the cheerleaders. Mei Li was happy to oblige.
This picture pretty much says it all.
P.S. Steve and I failed to do our Friday workout.
