A sweet Monday

Today's high was 65 degrees! It felt amazing, but I'm sad that warmth can't stay.

Mei Li received a flu shot. She was so brave. She flinched, but there were no tears, only slightly watery eyes.

Next, we went to music time at the library. It was a good time for all.

My sweet visiting teachers came to check up on me.

Ali, Chloe, and Teo came over for lunch and play.

Stephen took a nap. Mei Li and I watched some TV together. She sat in her nest.

Steve came home at a reasonable hour, and dinner was ready shortly after.

Family home evening came next. The opening song was "Scripture Power" with choreography. Mei Li gave a sweet prayer expressing thanks for family home evening.

Steve gave a lesson on gratitude and then expressed thanks for Mei Li, Stephen, and me.

Mei Li said, "I'm thankful for cereal and granilla (vanilla) ice cream. And I'm thankful for my mama."

Steve asked, "Why are you thankful for mama?"

"Because she is so good to me." Then she gave me a hug.

And that is when a mama can't help but cry happy tears in the middle of family home evening.

Stephen said, "I'm thankful for strawberry ice cream and my daddy."
I asked, "Why are you thankful for daddy?"

"Because I want strawberry ice cream."

I then expressed thanks for each of my three favorite people and gave my sweetheart a kiss. Family home evening ended with ice cream. Granilla for Mei and strawberry for Stephen.

Not all days are this sweet, but memories of this day will be enough to keep me going for a long time.
