Mei Li had a ballet recital last week. We were on our way to the ballroom, running late, when I realized that I forgot to bring her ballet shoes. Nice one, Ie Li. We didn't go back for them either because we were so late. Mei Li assured me that she would be fine without them.
The whole recital was adorable. Mei Li was wonderful. The ballet teacher was on the side, reminding the girls what steps came next. I loved how Mei Li had her eyes on her teacher almost the entire time.
Since I was only focusing on her with my video camera, I didn't notice until after I watched the video that she had one really awesome spin that came three seconds after the other dancers' spins. I thought she was even more wonderful for it.
She looked so graceful and sweet through it all. I was a proud mama. Move over, Gene Kelly! I've got a new favorite dancer.

Cute! I can't wait for Azaleia to be old enough for ballet lessons. She loves to dance like your little girl!
