Michiko and her four adorable boys were with us for two weeks, and I'm heart-broken that they are gone now.
Michi spent nearly every day in DC with all four boys seeing the sights. You can read more about their DC adventure here.
We were able to join them for a few adventures and I'm sad we didn't join them for more. Mei Li's kindergarten is right in the middle of the day, which makes going anywhere difficult.
I excused Mei Li from school last Friday so that we could all go to Mount Vernon together. Oh, how I love that lovely place!
All the kids loved being with their cousins and being outdoors. They were particularly interested in this blacksmith:
Can you imagine just how miserable the blacksmith shop is during the Virginia summers?!

I'm so glad we decided to go. I hope we can visit Mount Vernon again soon. We could have easily spent a few more hours there. Thanks to Michi and cousins for a wonderful day!
