Church was nice. It always is.
Steve made waffles for lunch.
I talked to my siblings on the phone.
We watched some church video clips online together while Mi Na napped.
I made fish tacos for dinner. Stephen ate some. STEPHEN ATE SOME! Mei Li did not, but she DID eat some broccoli.
We went on our Sunday walk after dinner. We brought a blanket and a couple of footballs to our field.
We set down our blanket and played duck, duck, goose. Steve, Stephen, and Mei played catch and tried throwing the footballs as high as they could.
Then Steve held Mi Na while I rolled down the hill with Stephen and Mei. I forgot how fun it is to roll down hills.
Then I lied down with the kids on the blanket to find pictures in the clouds, at Mei Li's request. We found a boot, a snake, a frog, dots, and a mitten.
Steve stood and watched the airplanes.
Steve was able to tell us where a few of the airplanes were going.
I wondered how he knew. It turns out that one day after his evening commute, he looked up the evening airplane schedule so he could know the destinations of the planes that he saw on his way home. After learning this about him at 6:49 PM (KLM to Amsterdam was a little late), I loved him even more than I did at 6:48.
We walked home and put the kids to bed. And they fell asleep without much fuss.
Aren't Sunday evenings wonderful? How do you like to spend yours?
