Family reunion ends are hard. We said goodbye to my family this morning. Saying goodbye to my sisters was especially hard. I hope we can all live close to each other some day. You can imagine how sad I was when my older sister Ie Mei told me that she and her family are moving to Mexico City later this year.
Mom and Dad took us to the airport. We looked ridiculous with our three car seats, two large suitcases, a backpack, diaper bag, two older kids in a double stroller, and a baby in the Baby Bjorn.
Our flight went really well. Steve sat in row 25 with Stephen and Mei Li. I sat in row 23 with Mi Na. I was putting together a play list on the flight entertainment system, when a message popped up on my screen saying that seat 25 B wanted to chat with me. I accepted the request and we flirted for a bit. Then Mei Li wanted to join in on the conversation. She typed "mne" and then she went back to watching her movie.
Mi Na was great. I haven't been good about trying to get Mi Na to take a pacifier, but I brought a Nuk on the flight anyway for take off and landing. She did pretty well with it. She slept for about half of the flight and was either happy or nursing for the other half.
Mei Li complained about not being able to hear herself talk because her ears were clogged. When we got off the plane, she said, "Hey! I'm not talking silly words anymore!" meaning that her ears were no longer clogged.
Stephen was pretty tired on the flight, but could not manage to fall asleep so he got loopy instead.
We took a taxi home and we are so happy to be here now. I'm hoping that we can get unpacked and clean the house tomorrow. We'll see.
