Monday.

Monday started off early. I was successful at waking up at 5:20 for a 5:45 run with a couple of friends. It was CHILLY! I couldn't believe it.

Steve stayed for breakfast so that we could have Family Home MORNING.
Opening Song: "I Love to See the Temple"
Lesson: Following the prophet and apostles
Closing Song: "I am a Child of God"
Treat: French Toast with buttermilk syrup

We feel like this is a good option for Mondays to maximize Steve's efficiency and yet still have this special time together.

Stephen took a two-hour morning nap.

While Stephen slept, Mei Li and I cuddled on the couch to watch some of "Anne of Green Gables." I don't know how many times I've watched this movie, but it is always entertaining. I'm glad that Mei Li thought so too.

When Stephen woke up, we ate lunch together and then walked to the library. It was only 70 degrees today and it was heavenly. I checked out a few books for the kids and Anne's House of Dreams for me. I tried looking for the Anne of Green Gables series in adult fiction, but of course, it was in juvenile. I read juvenile literature.

On the way home, we walked through the park and found some of our friends there, so we stayed for two maybe three hours to play. It was the best way to pass the time. Thank you Janine, Sophie, and Spencer.

Dinner. Bath. Jammas. Teeth. Books. Scriptures. Prayer. Songs. Bed.
I figured out that dressing and brushing one child completely before starting on the next one is so much faster than dressing one, then dressing the other, and brushing one and then the other.

I talked to Ie Ling on the phone for a while.

I'm now waiting for Steve. I miss him so very much.

Do you know what else I miss? Stephen's old affirmative response. He used to say "theth." He has a lisp, so he was really trying to say "sess," which was his word for "yes." He used to say it so loudly and happily and some time in the last week he changed it to "e-yeah." Still cute, but not anywhere near as cute as "theth."

I should go do my chores. Good night.
