Monday.

6:30 Woke up a half hour later than planned.

6:50 Went on a half hour run that included a couple of steep hills. Hill running is part of my race training. I had planned to run up and down these hills a few times, but two dogs barking and running after me made me think that I'd best be gettin' back home.

7:30 Greeted my children, who were sitting down at the table eating some oatmeal, prepared by Steve, who had not yet showered.

7:35 Stretched on the dining room floor while my children ate and my husband showered.

7:45 Showered. Heavenly.

8:15 Kissed husband goodbye.

9:00 Decided that Stephen was entirely too grumpy to be awake. Put him down for a nap.

9:00-11:30 Swept the deck with Mei Li, did some light sanding on a home project, and read books with Mei Li.

11:30 Retrieved baby guy from his crib, changed his diaper, made the kids lunch.

12:00-1:30 Prepared to leave the house. Yes, sometimes it takes us this long.

1:35-2:00 Walked to the library.

2:00-2:45 Picked out books and watched my children make a mess.

2:45-3:05 Walked to Giant and picked up exactly three items: deodorant, root ginger, and a spring mix.

3:05-3:30 Walked home. Mei Li fell asleep.

3:35 Put Stephen down for nap #2. Shortly after, I retrieved Mei Li from the stroller, who woke up for a moment to say "I want to hold you," and then nodded when I asked her if she'd like to lie down on the couch. She fell back asleep.

3:40-5:00 Studied, wasted time, talked to Steve.

5:00-6:00 Prepared dinner.

6:10 Steve arrived at home and was immediately occupied with the business of a three-year old and a one-year old.

6:30 Dinner.

7:00-7:30 Family home evening. Tonight we learned about kindness. Mei Li did a good job singing the songs, Stephen head-banged. Then we ate treats.

7:30-8:00 Played around.

8:00-9:00 Bath. Jammies. Books. Teeth. Scriptures. Prayer. Songs. Bed.

9:00-11:00 Watched Moonshot on the history channel with Steve, former space camp participant. He knows an awful lot about space exploration, another quality that I find irresistibly attractive.

11:05 Transferred baby guy from our room to the kids' room and watched both my kids sleep for a minute. They both slept with their arms above their head. I brushed Mei Li's hair away from her face and quietly left the room.

Now it's 11:55, much later than I planned to go to bed. Someday, I'll learn.

Wow! You got a lot of stuff done. Do you do the running every day? I am super impressed. Doesn't it feel like that time from starting to make dinner through bedtime just flies by? It's like a 3-4 hour mad-dash to fit it all in :) Miss you!!! Do you have skype? We should talk sometime if you do.

I do not go running every day, just four times a week.
