After the race.

I haven't run since the race. Well, that's not true. Last Monday (two days after the race), I went out on a misty day and started to run. My knee started hurting so I stopped after half a block, ran back to my house, and grabbed my camera to take pictures of pink blossoms.

When should I run again? How far do I run? I feel so lost.

Thank you for your comments on my blog...the general rule is that you rest 1 day for every mile you ran. In other words about 2 weeks should be good. After about the first week or 4 days you should be able to start cross-training (swimming or biking). Make sure when you get started again to actively ice your joints afterward. I hope this helps. ( I also strongly recommend a foam roller if don't already have one). Take Care!!

I hear ya! When I complete a goal I tend to have that reaction...now what?! By the way, CONGRATULATIONS!!! That was no easy task and you and Steve were so diligent and worked so hard. I am WAY impressed! What a great feeling to accomplish such a big goal :)

Those pictures from Utah made me wish I were there. I love Spring in Utah. I feel cheated on our Spring this year. Hopefully, we will have a few more good weeks before the heat sets in.

...Glad you are back!

After my (one) half-marathon I didn't run again for over a year. So, definitely don't go that route! That's all my advice. :)

That is a cool photo. The Utah photos are great, too.

Sorry about your knee. That is the problem with running. It seems to actually ruin one's body. :)

One mile at a time - that's my motto. We should get a group together in the evenings now that it is nice and still light.

I always feel somewhat lost after I finish a race too. My training motivation is gone. I broke a toe and the dr orders no running until mid-June, but when that time comes, I'd love to go for an evening run with you! Congrats on the half marathon!
